  • Watershed Wednesdays July 09, 2025

    Join Otonabee Conservation staff to learn about water quality, and how it can impact human and environmental health. Participants will learn to monitor water quality using biological and chemical indicators, through identification of a variety of aquatic species and using hand held equipment to become citizen scientists.  Information will be provided about local sources of municipal drinking water, and how to protect our water resources. This program will also include the option to make your own water-themed bookmark to take home!

    Program Description                                                                

    Join Otonabee Conservation staff for a guided hike around the Lakefield Trail and Campground to learn about the species that inhabit our watershed and the habitat they utilize throughout their lifecycle. Participants will learn to identify common species of flora and fauna, and species at risk. This program will also include the option to plant pollinator seeds in a pot to take home!
